John McAllister, a lead consultant at MIS Fractional, brings over 20 years of hands-on
experience in MedTech extrusion and complex tubing technologies. He specializes in the design,
development, and manufacturing of high-performance medical tubing, including braid
reinforced shafts, multilayer coextrusion, and heat shrink applications.
Key areas of expertise:
- Extrusion for complex catheters and braided reinforced tubing.
- Multilayer coextrusion processing (thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polyolefin,
- Pebax®, nylon).
- Braid reinforced tubing design and manufacturing.
- Heat shrink tubing solutions for medical applications.

John works closely with MedTech OEMs and CMOs to solve challenging tubing extrusion
requirements – from material selection and process development to scale-up and validation –

engagements to help MIS Fractional clients accelerate development, de-risk programs, and
achieve high-quality extrusion outcomes.
